About Us

We help by:

Raising awareness about female genital mutilation (FGM) and working to prevent these practices from happening anywhere in the world, starting with supporting the proven work in Tanzania and educating communities in France.

Providing financial support through donations and memberships to fund the safe houses, pay for girls' education, and support the cost of rescuing and protecting girls from these harmful practices.

Organizing events, workshops, and fundraisers to build support for this important work.

Building a community of people who care about gender equality and girls' rights.

By becoming a member or donating, you help provide safe housing, education, and emotional support to girls who need it.

Every contribution helps us fight against these harmful practices and gives girls the chance to choose their own future.

Hope for Girls and Women France is a French non-profit 1901 association.
We were created to support the important work of Hope for Girls and Women Tanzania, founded by Rhobi Samwelly. Our goal is to help combat female genital mutilation worldwide and to promote gender equality and respect for human rights.

We decided to create our association after meeting Rhobi and learning about her incredible work when she was chosen as a 2022 Marianne laureate and invited to France by President Macron to participate in the Marianne Initiative for Human Rights Defenders program. Rhobi’s important work has also been recognized by FAWCO. Her NGO was designated a target project from 2020 to 2022.
